Bang Tao Beach is blessed with golden sand in front of old casuarina trees and coconut palms and stretches across a huge bay of eight kilometers.

It can be divided into four different sections: The north is nearly empty with only occasional sun chairs and few tourists around for those who want a perfect beach and unspoilt nature.

The central section consists of the Laguna complex with its famous 5-star resorts grouped around several lagoons in the back of the beach. South of Laguna is an area of various resorts, projects and local restaurants that is perfect to enjoy relaxed beach holidays. The beach is less crowded than Patong or Kamala, more quiet but not lonely and best of all, there are several beachside restaurants and bars with chairs and tables on the sand for dining or relaxing with a cocktail while watching the sunset.

The southern end of the beach is ultimately occupied by local fishermen and their fishing boats.
